General Info

Charter schools must be open to any student covered in an inter-district agreement or residing in the school district in which the charter school is located. A charter school may limit the enrollment process in order to target the following student populations:

• students within specific age groups or grade levels
• students considered at risk of dropping out of school or academic failure

Criteria for admissions to SCA:

• Program Determination
• Pre-Requisite for the program chosen (can be taken in the first semester enrolled in SCA)
• Students enrolled in Somerset Career Academy need to exhibit a level of maturity that aligns with the requirements of their chosen program.

*Certain courses require students to meet pre-registration requirements such as the following pre-requisites:

• L3+ Reading PM3
• L3+ Math PM3 or Alg./Geo. EOCs
• Prior course level
