Good morning, College Prep and Career Academy students.

The closure this week has coincided with the end of the nine weeks. Under normal circumstances, Tuesday would have been the first day of the new nine weeks. However, in light of the storm and days off of school, the first nine week grading period has been extended.
The district has adjusted the grading window which will now close on October 18th. Teachers will be adjusting due dates for students, as appropriate. The teachers may still count those graded assignments for the first nine week grading period.
This means that the current grades that you are seeing in Skyward are not the final grades for the first nine weeks. The teachers still have a week to have first nine week grades entered.
As a reminder, Monday is a prescheduled Teacher Workday therefore, students will return on Tuesday, October 15th.
When students return, they will continue following their FIRST nine weeks schedules. The second nine weeks will start on Monday, October 21.
For those of you who are new to us, understanding the schedule changes that happen at the nine week mark may be somewhat confusing. Pull your schedules up on Skyward and check to see if you have two classes scheduled for the same time block/period for periods 1-4. If you do, the second one listed is for your second nine weeks. This is where you will report on October 21. If you have any questions, you can ask a returning student or any adult that you see on campus.

I hope this helps to answer some questions and we look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday.
